Workout Wed?

It's too cold for me to wear this today.
But that will not stop me from pretending I'm marching down a glitter runway.
Marching straight to my computer test- which will obviously welcome me with the same open arms Adam Levine would have had I not skipped my Angel debut to study :/

Who am I kidding? Desktop Multimedia will never love me.

In any case, superheroes, mermaids, antebellum, maroon 5, cartoon glow wings, and glitter-..lots o glitter,  (a few of my favorite things), made for a great show last night.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion-And clearly made voice of  it via Twitter-
But I personally had  fun being a couch cherub watching.

Happy days pretty pies (:

Meteor Shower..Still Thankful

In Miami, sometimes the lights are too bright to see the stars. Sometimes the airplanes dropping by are the only decorations you can make out in the sky. In any case, the fact that my city is so loudly illuminated making everyone want to visit is a pretty amazing thing.
Going home for Thanksgiving break I counted about a thousand million lucky stars- a bang of blessings. The six days shot by faster than I had hoped- Luckily, 14 days till the next time!

Welcome Home

Monday, November 21, 2011

Today I leave for Thanksgiving break! Yes! Thanksgiving break and I get to be home for almost a whole week. As much as I like to pretend I live on a whim, I already have my mental bucket list ready to conquer. Everything from bike rides, discovering new treasures in parks -both Merick and the more natural kind-, to baking a billion new recipes in my beloved home kitchen. I'm. so. excited.  Mainly because I get to share all this with my family.
But for the first time, a little piece of me is staying back here. This weekend was filled with fakefam time. It couldn't of been a better way to spend the last nole home game or a better reminder of how many things I have to be thankful for this year. I'm not going to get all sappy on this one- saving that for a later post. But regardless, last night's friendsgiving was another example of how family isn't just blood related

Unexpectedly, this week was filled with jelly. And by that I mean I was jammed with a ton of To-Do's that for the most part, actually sweetened up my days. I love my Friday's of relaxation, but only because I know I've done enough to deserve them.  If you did too, raise your morning mugs and enjoy (:

Five Things

He keeps me warm. He keeps me up. He's Cuban, Italian, or whatever I want him to be. Full of flavor and brings me back to life. We couldn't get enough of each other this week.
I love you Joe, I love you.

I remember when I was younger always skipping through Britney's "E-mail My Heart" track. Well, I'd probably still do the  same since it's just redicuously cheesy, but It's kinda been a theme song for me these past couple days. The words I've gotten back from the people I met in NYC made me fall even more in love with my (future) career. I'm looking forward to the day I get to inspire via e-mail. Or who know's what we'll be using by then...

I'm a total phone-a-phobe. My bilingual brain already has trouble communicating and being understood in person. No need to add static and eliminate phsycial gestures. But nonetheless, if you're persistent enough, I will answer.
and I'm glad I did (:

The will power I've had this year to avoid going Elf-ing crazy deserves a round of applause. Fine. I may have made my first ornament last night. Ba hum bug. Warning: 7 days till I'm officially aloud to spread Christmas cheer so loudly for all to hear

Guess why I smile a lot.. uh, Cause it's worth it :)

happy friday!

You know how they say your life can change in an instant? Well that's true. Now, imagine going to the city you've wanted to live in your entire life, visiting agencies you've read about, speaking to professionals who a couple months ago were in your shoes (which I'd now like to thank Gwen Stefani for creating the PERFECT ones for this trip)  and are now living in their dreams.
Yeah, clearly I was impacted.
I could rant about every detail here, but besides keeping you all from doing your thing, I won't be following the 2 main insights I learned from the trip.
Keep it simple. Do it better.
What soaks me the most about all of it is how I can apply it to my career, but also my day to day grind in general.
I had a surreal time in NYC yet again. I'm sure you'll hear some snippets about it here and there, but for now i'll leave it as it was- one real, real trip. As in, I realized how real this world is and how I'm going to be part of it real soon.
Can't wait :)

Guess where I'll be making my all-time wish on 11-11-11 at 11:11?
Fingers crossed and I'm off (:

2 MORE..

I think it's reg. for people in my generation to think of Jay Z when they think of New York, and while Empire State of Mind is also on repeat this week, my old soul can only think of Frank Sinatra when I picture the city.
Oh, Frank (insert hearts in eyes).
The thought of a winter stroll down 5th ave in 1950's with him sends me to clouds.
Come fly with me, anyone?

..Alright here you go Millenials..

There's no introduction needed. You're either there, or want be. A million different reasons why, but regardless New York plays a big part in many many dreams. Last November I set out to find mine. I did. This year I'm going back to make them happen. On Wednesday actually!! So bare with all the concrete jungle references...the big apple is driving me bananas P.S. That view is straight from an agency balcony... need I say more?

Ducks in a row.

I asked myself on a little date today.(Thankfully I didn't have to worry about rejection)

Turned out  to be second date success (:

I live for these Fridays. Especially after this week. What a strange little week. I can probably count the hours I slept in total with my hands. Which probably creates a credibility problem on whether or not these events even occured.. Regardless Here's the Friday Five!

In between study sesh this week, I would wander around this years Halloween pics (Better said, In between looking at pics I would study ): ) This cheesy one isn't my fav, but it makes me happy that the PanAm thing worked out. Don't be shocked if you knock on my door and I'm wearing my get up..

I love Red Cup.

<3 I've been feeling so at home with my Tally fam. They're all in the happiest place I have in my heart. Can't explain how relieved I am that Zohan did incredible in her surgery. So much love in the hospital room that day.
Still smiling about it

I dare you not to love Marshmellowmen

Last night my golden girl hosted her first Rent the Runway Event. SO PROUD OF HER. If you don't know what RTR is then get off my blog. Just kidding.. but seriously open up a new tab, get on twitter, and follow@RTRFloridaState. I do not hold myself responsible for the damage that will be done on your CreditCard though (:
